SGTBIMIT organized National Conference on “Digitization: Envisioning Technology And Accelerating Growth In Business Transformation” on Dec 10, 2016.

WORKSHOPS ON PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT
Workshops on CV Writing, GD, PI were conducted by TIMES on 23, 24 and 31 August’16 with the main goal to acquaint the students with good communication and writing skills, along with changing industry trends so as to aid them in landing with better job prospects.
SKILL DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
An industrial Visit was organized for BBA (G) and Banking and insurance students on October 20, 2016, at NSIC (National Small Industries Corporation). NSIC provides technical support to MSMEs through ‘NSIC Technical Services Centers’ (NTSC) and a number of extension and sub-centres spread across the country.Students had a close look and description of some of the small-scale projects which were going on, like Tissue paper roll, Socks knitting, Detergent & soap manufacturing, Fabric designing etc. Our students were really thrilled and excited about having a wonderful exposure which provided them

IBS Business School conducted a seminar on “LEADERSHIP SKILLS” for the final year management students on October 24, 2016. A guest lecture was conducted by versatile network private limited on “GIVE WINGS TO YOUR DREAMS BY TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT” by KOUNI ACADEMY for the second and final year management students on November 10, 2016. Objectives of the guest lecture were to tell students about the job opportunities in the travel industry and how they can train themselves for the same.

Seminar on Motivation Theories was organized on November 11, 2016.The session was presided by Prof (Dr.) Sanjiv Mittal, Dean, USMS, GGSIPU who made students aware of the motivation dynamics in the industry citing examples.

A seminar on “The Use of Operations Research in Logistics” was organized for Ist year BBA and B&I students on 3rd February 2017.Dr. Ashish explained about how the operations research can be used in logistics as it helps to identify the demand and supply at different places. Operations research helps to solve the assignment problems, transportation problems. He also explained how these operations research problems can be used in day to day life by the people involved in logistics. Dr Ashish took the session in the other computer lab as he explained how to solve operations research problems in excel. The session was really helpful to the students.

A seminar on “Principles of Accounting” was organized for Ist year BBA and B&I students on 22nd February 2017.CA Sandeep Kapoor has an experience of more than 15 years. He is running his CA firm and he visits various places to conduct seminars and Management development programs on accounting. CA Sandeep Kapoor has a strong hold on accounting. He interacted with the students and the session was very knowledgeable. Students learned new topics on accounting. Mr Kapoor also guided the students on what type of career they can opt for after their studies. The session was really helpful to the students.
2 DAY WORKSHOP ON ANDROID TECHNOLOGY BY DREAM POOL TECHNOLOGY
A two-day workshop was conducted for BCA students on September 19-20,2016. The topics included in these two days were basic Android platform along with the description of the development of apps. Objectives of the workshop were to make the students aware of app development along with database connectivity. Total of 130 students attended the workshop who belong to different semesters.The workshop was conducted by the team of Dreampool technologies under the supervision of Mr.Gagandeep Singh founder and owner of the company.

One day seminar on the foundations of Mathematics was conducted by Mr V.K Das on November 16, 2016, for BCA 1st year students. In this seminar, students learnt about the implications of mathematics in the field of Cryptography.
MDP ON“ DEMONETIZATION & IT IMPACTS ON DIFFERENT SECTORS OF THE ECONOMY”
MDP was organized on “DEMONETIZATION & IT IMPACTS ON DIFFERENT SECTORS OF THE ECONOMY” on Dec 19, 2016. The Demonetisation was announced by Hon. Prime Minister Shri. Narendra Modi on November 9, 2016, by replacing INR 500 & INR 2000 with new currency bills. With this, the government of India is expected to be headed in making Indian economy ever stronger by eliminating the parallel cash economy which is unaccounted and untaxed. The government had called this situation bringing “short-term pain for long-term gain”. As Demonetization has brought about stronger changes in the in the lives of all people of the country, the MDP was organised in order to understand the impact of demonetization on industries especially the SME sector and the international trade.Approximately 20 participants attended the session.
