SGTBIMIT in association with “Basics of Sikhi“ society organised an “Open Mic” Sikh Youth competition to commemorate 350th Birth Anniversary of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This event witnessed more than 200 students from all over Delhi from various schools and colleges. The students as young as 3 years of age to teenagers participated in this contest, which mainly focussed on the tenth Guru of Sikhs, Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The participants had to share the inspiration drawn from the teachings of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. The contestants were divided into various age categories, starting from age 8 to 11, 12-17 and 17 above category. The event started by seeking blessings from the almighty and followed by the felicitation of dignitaries and guests. The event was graced by the presence of S. Ravinder Singh Khurana, Member DSGMC, Ms Avneet Kaur, Basics of Sikhi, Ms Irvinder Kaur, Basics of Sikhi, S. S. S. Bedi, Chairman Dharamprachar committee, Ms ReemaKaurCaptain, counsellor ward 12 and many other members of DSGMC.
The entire contest was further divided into various categories such as poetry, speech, song, inspiring stories, presentation or declamation. The winners of the events were given the cash prize of 5100, 3100 and 2100 respectively along with many other consolation prizes. This was a great initiative by Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Institute of Management and IT under the guidance of S.Inderpreet Sigh Capitan to spread the teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji among Sikhs and Non-Sikhs
