Diwali marks the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil, but it also is a day of service and generosity to our fellow man.” On the occasion of Diwali, NSS Unit of SGTBIMIT organised ‘Diya Decoration Competition’ in the college premises. The decorated diyas will be distributed in the slum areas. The main purpose of this activity was to explore the students imagination ,creativity and celebrate the Festival of Lights in its true spirit. All students participated enthusiastically for this noble cause.
On the occasion of Diwali, SGTBIMIT with NSS volunteers took the initiative of making this festival special for the underprivileged section by distributing diyas and food items in nearby slum area.

The NSS Unit of the college organized the Flag Hoisting Ceremony on August 12, 2022. The national flag was unfolded by the respected Chairman Sir S.M.P.S.Chadha Ji, Director, Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kaur, Assistant Director, S. Verender Singh Ji. The ceremony was attended by all the staff members and NSS volunteers. On this occasion, the National Anthem was sung by NSS Programme Officers, both teaching and non-teaching staff and students.

Students and faculties of SGTBIMIT attended the three-day mega fair 'Plastic Vikalp Mela' that was organized by *Eco Club, Delhi Government* from July 1 to July 3, 2022 at the Thyagaraj Stadium to promote alternatives of single-use plastic. As single-use plastic is banned in India starting July 1, 2022, people must move towards its alternatives. In light of this, grand initiative was taken by the Delhi Government.
