SGTBIMIT organized the Virtual National Conference on “Advances in Education, Teaching and Technology-2020” on 21st May, 2020. In the wake of various advisories by the Government of India, Government of NCT of Delhi and GGSIPU due to Pandemic caused by COVID-19, regarding the avoidance of public gatherings and also considering the health and well being of all, it was decided to reschedule the National Conference and to organize it in the virtual mode. The Convenor of the National Conference Prof. (Dr.) Navneet Kaur, Director SGTBIMIT, enlightened the conference on intellectual learning environment by focusing on Education & Technology. She emphasized on the growing trend towards online access to educational content and learning resources. Key Note Speaker was G. Narendra, Deputy General Manager – Training & Development of ICT Academy. With more than 15 years of experience in the Education and Training industry, Mr. Narendra is managing the knowledge division of the ICT Academy comprising of Course Curriculum Content Development, managing training programs and managing the ICT Academy Journal publications. He is closely working with the policy-making bodies such as AICTE, UGC, Sector Skill Councils and other accrediting bodies on the ICT Academy Courses. He emphasized on the importance of the education and the teaching techniques especially in this Pandemic situation. The conference was attended by eminent academicians, faculty members and students from reputed technical and educational institutions from different parts of the country and representatives from the industry.
